HARLEY-DAVIDSON DAYTONA WOMEN'S DAY RIDE INCREASES COUNT TO 500

MILWAUKEE (February 1, 2008) – On March 4, 2008, in Daytona, Fla., 500 Harley-Davidson women riders will join together in what the Motor Company believes will be the largest women's ride in the Company's 105-year history. Originally, the Harley-Davidson Women's Day Ride, benefiting Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), was to be limited to 105 women; but after an incredible response from women riders asking to join the ride, Harley-Davidson decided to increase the size to accommodate 500 women.

Motorcycle Women, Biker Women and all of you women riders out there that dreams about getting your own motorcycle. Today is May 1, 2009; this means it is officially Women Riders Month.  Hardly Davidson has geared up to kick off Women's Riders Month with some fantastic rides just for biker women. To help commemorate the 3rd Annual International Female Ride Day, as well as kick-start Women Riders Month, Harley-Davidson is hosting two special rides on Friday, May 1, 2009, in New York City and Milwaukee, respectively. The rides, as well as additional events throughout the month of May are designed to celebrate the millions of women who have already grabbed life by the handlebars, as well as inspire more women to experience the freedom of the open road.

Motorcycle women take notice. It’s that time of year again. It’s time to register for the women’s motorcycle Harley Davidson Daytona Women’s ride.

The reason for Harley Davidson Daytona Women’s ride is to raise money for MDA and to celebrate women that ride motorcycles. Last year women that rode in the event raised $67,000.00 for MDA.

Registration is now open for the 2009 ride that begins on Tuesday, March 3rd. There is a limited 500 female Harley or Buell riders eligible to register.
