A word from women’s motorcycle racer and co-founder Allie Warfel:

The Women’s Motorsports Foundation is a newly established 501c3. We believe that if fostered in the right environment with the right instruction, more women would find that they are capable riders and racers. Along with co-founder Dr. Vonn K. Brestle, I am interested in fair and equal opportunities and have personal interest in helping individuals empower their lives and overcome life's challenges. These interests are jointly conveyed through the work of the Women’s Motorsports Foundation.

Just as a good handshake in business has the potential to speak volumes, convey strength, integrity, confidence and security, so it is with the handling of a motorcycle. A good woman rider is smooth, calculating and knows how to control power through both the throttle and the brake...just as it is in life.

I founded our organization to help promote opportunity for women and women in motorsports. I believe that all people should be entitled to the right for fair and decent lives and that these rights are a product of opportunity, education and exposure. I love to see people find the confidence to take on life's challenges and personally believe that motorcycles are excellent fun as well as an excellent educational tool and example of how to approach life at large.

As a young person I personally felt limited by culture, eduction and was unaware of many business, athletic or life opportunities. I want our foundation to be part of that change. I want women to know that they are equally welcome to ride motorcycles, compete in motorsports and be successful in business, sports and life... no matter what their finances, challenges or background may be.

Although sports opportunities in the current generation are largely influenced by private funding, our organization advocates for equal opportunity - not limited by gender or finances. My hope is to establish a foundation renowned for its rider schools and clinics and its ability to raise funds for talented females to compete in motorsports.

Even life's mundane evens can seem like challenges without confidence or a reason to believe in ourselves. If we don't address our fears, they all to often overwhelm our ability or potential. If we are suppressed by ordinary challenges, we will be overwhelmed by the extraordinary. Likewise, when we overcome an extraordinary challenge like riding or racing motorcycles and stock cars, we gain confidence and acquire a new perspective on life and life’s challenges. The Women’s Motorsports Foundation believes in women and is honored to be part of a positive and successful learning experience.
